Ring and Pinion

Ford 7.5" axles have a 7.5" ring gear that bolts to the carrier with (10) 7/16" – 20 bolts. The pinion has a 1.625" diameter shaft with 28 splines. This axle can be visually identified by its 10 cover bolts. One carrier will accommodate all gear ratios: 2.73, 3.08, 3.45, 3.73, 4.10, 4.11, and 4.56.
